Bio
"I started to study computer engineering and soon I change to advertising, photography and music. After a BA in Advertising, studied at film school in Madrid, and began to shoot my short-films on my own. I like to think that although the shortest distance between two points is a straight line, never travel in a straight line."
Álvaro has been working as film director and creative director in the past years doing fiction shorts, brand content and fashion films. With a background in photography, advertising, film and music, he has a wide experience developing new kind of audiovisual formats using the Internet as main window. In his work, he put together visual, storytelling and music with a elegant and mesmerist impact. He has a personal aesthetic with a smart balance between emotional and intellectual inputs. He won several awards, selected by Berlinale Talent Campus and presented in Los Angeles American Cinematheque.
He currently works as freelance digital & film director in the creation of audio-visual contents and commercials for prestige brands such as Volvo, Nike, Yoox or Condé Nast, and on his personal projects for Internet, video-art, fashion and "new cinema".
